Press Release from the Pepin County Sheriff's Department: On Sunday, October 14, 2012 at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Pepin County Sheriff's Department responded to a logging accident located on County Highway N in the township of Frankfort. It was discovered that a 65 year old man from Loyal, WI was fatally injured. The Durand Fire Department assisted at the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pepin County Coroner. The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
