HARRISON, Ark. (WKOW) -- An Arkansas man has been arrested in connection with a 1975 rape case in northcentral Wisconsin.
Jimmy Dale Mulanex, 57, was arrested Friday morning in Arkansas. Officials say Mulanex is being held without bond pending extradition to Wisconsin.
Wood County, Wis. authorities say Mulanex had been a cross-country truck driver in 1975 and was arrested on the original charge in December of that year, but, he didn't show for a preliminary hearing.
Police records indicate the victim went to the Venture Inn in Wisconsin Rapids with friends to celebrate a birthday. Mulanex is accused of threatening the woman and raping her at the motel.
