Three injured in Sawyer Co. crash

(WQOW) Press Release - At 10:15 PM on Saturday October 13, a crash occurred on County Highway CC approximately 1.1 miles east of County Highway H in Sawyer County near Radisson.

Assisting agencies included LCO Tribal Police, Sawyer County Sheriff's Department, LCO Fire Department, Winter Fire Department, Radisson Ambulance, Round Lake Ambulance, and Hayward Ambulance.

Steven L. Sutton of Hayward was driving westbound on County Highway CC, approximately 1.1 miles east of County Highway H in the Town of Hunter, Sawyer County. After passing another vehicle, Mr. Sutton lost control of his vehicle where it left the roadway, rolled and crashed into the ditch.

Mr. Sutton and one of his passengers, Andrew J. Crowe of Couderay, where extricated from the vehicle. Another passenger, Christa J. Debrot of Couderay, was ejected from the vehicle.

None of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Contributing factors to this crash where alcohol and excessive speed.

This crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and LCO Police Department.
