County board approves moratorium extension

Buffalo County (WQOW) - A moratorium on frac sand mining has been extended.

On Tuesday night, the Buffalo County Board of Supervisors voted 9-3 to give the moratorium another six months.  That will take the moratorium until the end of April.  By then, the board hopes to have results from some studies about the potential impacts of sand mining on health and safety.
