MONTEREY, Calif. (WKOW) -- Be sure to check your refrigerators if you've recently purchased bagged salad. Officials say some salad products are being recalled over concerns they are contaminated with Listeria.
Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling a limited number of American Blend salad in 12 oz. bags after some tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. Dole officials say no other salads are involved.
Dole says the recalled bagged salads were sold in Wisconsin and nine
other states including Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Missouri, New Jersey,
New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania,
and Tennessee.
Dole says the recalled salads are coded A275208A or B, with a use-by date of October 17 and UPC 7143000933.
Officials say no illnesses have been reported in association with this recall. Dole says the recall was issued after a sample of Dole American Blend salad tested positive result for Listeria monocytogenes in a random sample test conducted by the
Tennessee Department of Agriculture.
Dole says consumers who have any of the recalled salad should not
eat it, and throw it away. Anyone with questions should call the Dole
Food Company Consumer Response Center at 1-800-356-3111.
