MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison man was sentenced to more than five years in prison for distributing heroin.
The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin announced Thursday that Kevin Moore, 30, was sentenced to 37 months in prison for distribution of heroin. Moore also received a consecutive 24-month sentence for distributing the drug while he was on federal supervised release.
Prosecutors said Moore was selling heroin in Madison in April and May of 2012.
In May of 2006, Moore was sentenced to 54 months in prison for having a firearm as a convicted felon. When Moore was released from prison, he was released to a residential re-entry center. Moore escaped from that center and in June of 2010, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
Moore began his terms of supervised release in January 20, 2012.
