Boy returns home after spending the night in the woods

Rusk County (WQOW) - A young boy is ok Thursday after apparently spending the night in the woods of Rusk County.

Dozens of searchers and a police dog spent the entire night looking for the 12-year-old boy in a wooded area south of Bruce. The sheriff's office says he was in an argument with his mother last night and ran into the woods. Officers believe he was hiding to get even with his mother. When he didn't return after three hours she called law enforcement.

Around 7 a.m. Thursday morning she reported the boy had arrived home. He told officers he saw them searching for him, but decided to remain hidden.
