PORTAGE (WKOW) -- A Portage couple is in jail Thursday, accused of delivering heroin with their infant child in the car.

The pair, 29-year-old Rodney Cheever and 27-year-old Rainelle Cheever were arrested Wednesday by Columbia County authorities. They say Rodney was a known supplier of heroin in the Portage area.

Besides drug charges, the couple will likely face child neglect charges. Authorities did not say who has the infant currently. The Cheevers are due in court Friday.
