Jackson County (WQOW) - A man who admitted murdering a Jackson County man gets the maximum sentence.
Aaron Powers was sentenced Friday to 43 years in prison. Powers was accused of firing a shotgun through a patio door killing Terrance Stoen. Investigators say Powers then burglarized Stoen's Melrose home and stole his pickup truck. It happened two years ago.
The district attorney expects Powers to appeal the sentence and a judge's decision to deny Powers motion to withdraw his guilty plea.
