WASHBURN (WKOW) – A man convicted of helping to burglarize
dozens of summer homes and cabins in northern Wisconsin has been sentenced to
four years in prison.
According to the Ashland Daily Press, 30-year-old Eugene
John Grahn has been found guilty of being party to the crime of burglary.
Grahn and his co-conspirator were accused of breaking
into at least 24 homes in the winter and spring of 2012. The co-conspirator was convicted earlier this
year.
Prosecutor Craig Haukaas said he is satisfied with Grahn's
sentence. Haukaas also said Grahn
cooperated with authorities and help locate many of the stolen items.
According to online court records, Grahn did not have a
defense attorney listed.
Haukaas said people whose items are still missing can
follow up with the Bayfield County sheriff's office.
