Madison (WQOW) -- The Wisconsin football team cracks the BCS rankings thanks in large part to a big game from the Badgers running backs.

Montee Ball and James White share and apartment, but they also shared the spotlight against Minnesota. The dynamic duo combined for 341 yards and five rushing touchdowns. It's the fifth time that both White and Ball have rushed for 100 yards in the same game. 

"Basically when he starts playing really really well, it sets a fire under me," says Ball. "I told him I better get going, and vice versa. It's a healthy competition that we have and really it betters the offense. We're really good friends; we have a great relationship, which is fun."

White agrees, saying: "It's a lot of fun. We compete to see who has the most yardage. If I break one, he wants to break one, so it's only going to give us better success as an offense."

Next up for the Badgers is a match up with Michigan State, Saturday at 2:30 p.m. That game will be aired on WQOW-News 18.
