MADISON (WKOW)-- A 19-year-old Madison Media Institute student was taking traffic pictures Sunday night when he was robbed of his equipment.
Madison police say the student was on the pedestrian overpass in the 300 block of W. Beltline Highway when he was hit on the left side of his head and fell to the ground. When the man got back on his feet, he saw to black men running toward Pheasant Ridge Trail in the Town of Madison.
Police say the student described the suspects as both being between the ages of 20-30, approximately 5'11 and 200 pounds. One of the men was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a lighter colored hoodie and the other had on a black hoodie.
The victim estimates the stolen camera equipment at nearly $1,000.
