MADISON (WKOW) – Madison police search for a suspect who fled after robbing a 50-year-old man early Wednesday morning.
Police said the incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on the 600 block of North Street.
According to the Madison incident report, the 50-year-old victim was approached by a male suspect near the Tip Top Tavern. Both men got into the victims vehicle and the victim shows the suspect money from his wallet. Police said the suspect grabbed the money and fled on foot.
Authorities said the male suspect has not been located and the investigation is ongoing. Police said there was no report of injuries to the victim.
Madison Police describe the suspect as a black male, between the ages of 20 and 25, about 5'7" with a skinny build, small afro and he was wearing black shirt and black pants.
