MADISON (WKOW)-- A 58-year-old Madison woman called police after she was mugged near the intersection of N. Eau Claire and Sheboygan Avenue early Thursday morning.
Police say the victim says she was walking in the area around 6:20 a.m. Thursday when she was approached from behind. The suspect, described only as being a man wearing a black hoodie, grabbed the woman around the neck with a metal object in his hand. He then demanded her personal belongings. The suspect took money from her wallet and ran away.
Police say the woman was not hurt.
