Eau Claire (WQOW) - One of the men accused of leading police on a chase across two counties is going to prison.

Daniel Willette and another man were caught shoplifting by an employee at a Rice Lake liquor store. Police say they stole a pickup truck and fled. The chase through Barron and Washburn counties hit 100 mph.

Deputies say one of the men was throwing tools and car parts out of the truck in an attempt to disable the pursuing squad cars. Willette was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison and must pay restitution.
