Altoona (Press Release) — The Western Wisconsin Region of the American Red Cross has just activated 4 of its Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) east to support the preparedness efforts for Hurricane Sandy.

Volunteers will provide snacks, food, and water using the ERVs on routes within the impacted areas.  Dennis Clark, of Strum, and Earl Eckwright, of Chippewa Falls, will be driving the ERV to Baltimore, MD.

Dennis will be deploying on his sixth national response with this deployment being his first ERV deployment.  Earl recently returned from helping down south during Tropical Storm Isaac primarily assisting with bulk distribution of supplies into the affected communities.

The ERVs in Madison, Janesville, and Wausau will also make the trip out East.
