Altoona (Press Release) —
The Western Wisconsin Region of the American Red Cross has just activated 4 of
its Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) east to support the preparedness efforts
for Hurricane Sandy.
Volunteers will provide snacks, food, and water
using the ERVs on routes within the impacted areas. Dennis Clark, of
Strum, and Earl Eckwright, of Chippewa Falls, will be driving the ERV to
Baltimore, MD.
Dennis will be deploying on his sixth national response
with this deployment being his first ERV deployment. Earl recently
returned from helping down south during Tropical Storm Isaac primarily
assisting with bulk distribution of supplies into the affected
communities.
The ERVs in Madison, Janesville, and Wausau will also make
the trip out East.
