MADISON (WKOW) -- The American Red Cross seeks to boost blood supply and donor population.

They're looking for eligible donors in our area. According to the American Red Cross, approximately every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. More than 44,000 blood donations are needed every day.

Bobbi Snethen from the American Red Cross joined Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend to discuss the need for blood in Madison and the surrounding areas.
