Eau Claire (WQOW) - The suspect in last week's stabbing death in Eau Claire is out of jail again.
Doua Vang was released Monday after his family posted another $40,000 in bond money. Vang was jailed Friday after the judge raised his bond.
The district attorney had argued for higher bail because Vang is now charged with first degree intentional homicide in the stabbing death of 17-year-old Bobbie Vue.
But Vang's lawyer alleges he has been over-charged. She says any homicide charge should be at a much lower classification. She says that Vang's purpose in stabbing Vue was to stop Vue's attack on Vang's brother. She also points out that Vue and several others came into Vang's locked apartment building and began attacking Vang and his family and friends.
Vang is due back in court in December.
