Plea bargain reached in money thefts

Posted:

Hudson (WQOW) - A plea bargain is reached Monday for a western Wisconsin woman accused of stealing from two school organizations and her boss.

Brenda Lutovsky was treasurer of the Hudson Middle School Parent Advisory Council. She was also treasurer of the Hudson Swim and Dive Boosters.

Lutovsky was accused of stealing about $24,000 from those groups. And prosecutors say she stole another $11,000 from Pace Appraisals in Hudson.

On Monday the felonies were reduced to misdemeanors. Lutovsky was ordered to repay the money within 10 days. She must also apologize to the victims, and cannot work with public or private funds during three years of probation.
