Eau Claire (WQOW)- With Election Day almost a week
away the race for congress is playing out in the Chippewa Valley.
Congressman
Ron kind was in Eau Claire
on Monday. He currently represents the third congressional district here in
western Wisconsin. He's being challenged by republican Ray
Boland. During his stop we asked Congressman
Kind what it will take for lawmakers to start working together.
"It all starts on Election Day.
The American people are the ultimate referee, they need to, I think, be sending
people as their representatives who are open minded, who aren't afraid to
compromise, who aren't afraid to exercise an independent streak from time to
time. To stand up to the powerful special interest groups in Washington and even the political leadership
from time to time and do what's in the best interest of our country first,"
says Representative Ron Kind.
Congressman
Kind was joined on Monday by the Governor of Montana.
