Obama, Baldwin grow their leads in final Marquette poll

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- President Barack Obama holds a 51-43 percent lead over Republican challenger Mitt Romney in the final Marquette University Law School Poll to be released before the November 6th election.

The poll, which surveyed 1,243 likely Wisconsin voters from October 25-28, also shows Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D) with a 47-43 percent lead over former Governor Tommy Thompson (R).

Both Obama and Baldwin held just 1 point leads in the last MU Law poll, released on October 16th.

The poll shows that among the most interested voters, the races are much closer.

Among those voters who say they are following the elections very closely, President Obama has only a 50-48 percent lead, while Baldwin's lead shrinks to 47-46 percent.
