Chippewa County (WQOW) - A local business owner is getting credit for helping area investigators solve almost two dozen crimes.
Three teens were arrested this week for 22 burglaries and attempted burglaries at businesses in Chippewa and Eau Claire counties.
Logan Everson, Jordan Mooney, and Jonathan Eagleman have been charged in court. They are all 17-years old.
The owner of RC Hobbies in Chippewa Falls believed an item brought in for repair was stolen. The owner tipped off police. Investigators questioned the customer, who is now one of the suspects, and linked all three to the crimes. Investigators say the thieves mostly targeted petty cash and stole more than a thousand dollars. Numerous stolen items, including snowmobiling gear, were recovered.

Chippewa County (Press Release) - A tip from a local business owner leads to the arrest of three individuals and solving of numerous burglaries and thefts in Eau Claire and Chippewa counties.
On Monday, October 29, 2012 the owner of Chippewa RC Hobby in Chippewa Falls notified the Chippewa Falls Police Department he had a person at his business that was inquiring about repairing an item. The owner believed the item to be stolen and contacted the police department.
Chippewa Falls Police interviewed the individual and quickly developed information that linked the person to criminal activity in Chippewa County. Sheriff's office investigators joined in the interview and identified numerous burglaries and thefts recently committed in the county that the parties were responsible for.
With further interviews and cooperation of one of the suspects detectives from the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office were notified and joined in the investigation as some of the activity was in Eau Claire County and the City of Eau Claire.
Through the joint investigation of detectives from the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office and investigators from the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, 12 burglaries or attempted burglaries were solved in Chippewa County, 10 burglaries were identified and solved in Eau Claire County. Numerous items of stolen property were recovered or identified linking the suspects to the individual crimes. It is believed the crimes were committed over the last several months.
Businesses affected include (Chip Area) Extreme Motorsports, Keith's Auto Repair, Bills Southside Auto, Alliance Plastics, (Eau Claire area) Turk's Snow Removal, Water Source, Oas Family Chiropractic, Site Pro Video, Asher's Enterprises, Auto Vision, Interstate Auto, and Badger Truck Refrigeration.

Everson, Mooney, and Eagleman were arrested and taken to the Eau Claire County Jail where they are being held. Both Everson and Mooney will be transported to Chippewa County after their appearance in Eau Claire County.
