Man, out on bail, threatens woman with a knife

MADISON (WKOW) -- Officials say a man threatening a woman with a knife on the 2200 block of Cypress Way prompted a call to police Thursday afternoon.

When officers arrived, the 28-year-old woman said the suspect, whom she knows, also threatened to kill her because of an earlier dispute.

Thirty-three-year-old Thomas J. Jackson, who is out on bail on another charge, has a court order to not possess alcohol or weapons. Jackson had a knife and a bottle of gin in his pockets.  He denies using the knife to threaten the victim.

Police say Jackson was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and felony bail jumping.
