Early voting comes to an end in Wisconsin

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Friday was the last chance for residents to vote early.

The Eau Claire city clerk says around 5,500 people voted early in-person.  Another 1,300 ballots were sent out by mail.  Those need to be post-marked on Tuesday.  The city clerk says early voting turnout is down about 1,000 votes when compared to 2008.

Residents cannot vote or register for the election on Monday.  Polls open Tuesday morning at 7:00 AM.
