Owen (WQOW) - A central Wisconsin police chief is off the job following an investigation.
Randy Poirier has resigned from the Owen Police Department. He was investigated for an off-duty incident from September. No details were released about what happened, but we were told that no evidence of misconduct was found related to his job. However, Poirier agreed it would be best for himself, his family and the community if he resigned.
The city accepted his resignation on Thursday. The city and its police department are in the process of reviewing its policies when it comes to expectations for off-duty officers.
