MARSHFIELD
(WKOW) – A Marshfield man is due in court next week on charges that he
threatened to set a pregnant woman on fire after dousing her with gasoline.
According
to our sister station WAOW-TV, Tyler s. Ress has an initial appearance
scheduled for Monday morning.
Authorities
said the 23-year-old faces four felony charges, including first-degree
recklessly endangering safety and attempting to cause an abortion. Ress also faces three misdemeanor charges.
Prosecutors
said Ress assaulted the pregnant 28-year-old Marshfield woman in
September. Authorities said he punched
the woman in the stomach several times and tried to strangle her during a
three-hour domestic ordeal.
According
to online records, Ress did not have a defense attorney listed on Saturday.
