Altoona (WQOW) - President Obama isn't the only one campaigning in Wisconsin the weekend before the election.
Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Tommy Thompson made a stop in the Chippewa Valley. Thompson visited the Republican Victory Center in Altoona Saturday morning. We asked Thompson what he thought made him the right candidate for the job.
"Just look at Eau Claire. The North Crossing, the bypass, Highway 53. Those are all improvements that I made as Governor, and I was able to do it in a bipartisan way," said Thompson.
The appearance is one of ten stops around the state he plans to make this weekend.
