Zengerle out indefinitely with broken finger, Badgers lose to CC

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin (1-4-1, 1-2-1 WCHA) dropped a 3-0 contest at the Kohl Center to Colorado College (5-3-0, 2-0-0 WCHA) on Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, CC grabbed the lead when Archie Skalbeck finished his own rebound at 1:58 of the second period.
CC's Alexander Krushelnyski made it 2-0 at 15:50 of the second when his centering pass from the left boards went of a Badger stick and in.
The Tigers finished off the scoring on Mike Boivin's point shot on the power play at 17:48 of the third period.
Sophomore goaltender Joel Rumpel made 19 saves in defeat.
Junior forward Mark Zengerle left the game in the second period after blocking a shot off his hand on the penalty kill. Head coach Mike Eaves said after the game Zengerle suffered a broken finger and is out indefinitely.
Wisconsin was shut out for the first time since Feb. 17 against Denver.
