MADISON (WKOW) -- A run and walk event in Madison will honor all uniformed service members.

You can get involved and honor all armed forces, fire and police veterans in our area. The Madison Navy League's Annual Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, November 10.

It's a 4-mile run, 2-mile or 3-mile walk.

Proceeds from the charitable run, walk will go to the Madison Navy League for supporting youth programs such as U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Operation Military Kids and programs for veterans and their families.

It's going on at Christy's Landing at 2952 Waubesa Avenue, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Werner Gade, president of the Madison Navy League, joins Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend to discuss the event.
