NEW YORK (WKOW) -- ABC is taking part in the "Day of Giving" on Monday, to help those impacted by Superstorm Sandy.
ABC is weaving the theme throughout the day, beginning with "Good Morning America," up until "Nightline."
On Thursday, Robert Iger, chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company announce a $2 million donation for Sandy relief and rebuilding efforts.
Monday's "Day of Giving" will air across the network and syndicated programming. The purpose is to encourage millions of viewers throughout the day to help those impacted by Sandy.
Disney/ABC Television Group will donate $1 million to organizations working on rebuilding efforts, and another $1 million will be donated to the American Red Cross for assistance.
