Donations pouring in for Sandy victims

Posted:

People across the country are stepping up to help out with relief efforts on the east coast.

Donations are pouring in.

The American Red Cross has taken in nearly $85 million dollars so far.

WKOW's telethon on Friday with the local Red Cross chapter helped raise more than $46,000.

All that money is going toward operating shelters and offering food, water and supplies to Superstorm Sandy victims.

The record-breaking storm claimed at least 110 lives and left a trail of destruction.
