MILWAUKEE (WKOW)- Veterans Day is this Sunday. Many organizations are opening their doors to veterans and show their support. Such is the case for two Milwaukee museums. They're offering free admission for veterans this weekend in recognition of Veterans Day.
The promotion is for Saturday and Sunday at the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Harley-Davidson Museum. Among the events at the Harley museum is a ceremony Saturday with the St. John's Northwestern Military Academy cadets, which will include a 21-gun salute.
The Harley museum has a permanent gallery that includes several one-of-a-kind artifacts that highlight the support Harley-Davidson provided during both World Wars.
Milwaukee Art Museum director Daniel Keegan says the free admission is a small way to thank veterans for their service.
