Eau Claire (WQOW) - Charges will stand against four Eau Claire men accused of instigating a fight that ended with a man being stabbed to death.
A judge heard from witnesses Tuesday before ruling that the four suspects, Kenny Vang, Jacob Vue, Xa Xiong and Patchura Vue should stand trial on charges of substantial battery.
They are accused of forcing their way into a Richard Drive apartment last month and attacking people who were attending a birthday party.
Investigators say the suspects came armed with weapons and several people at the party suffered severe head wounds.
The man who was hosting the party, Doua Vang, is charged with stabbing one member of the group that allegedly invaded the apartment. Bobbie Vue, 17, died of his injuries. Vang will be in court in two weeks on charges of first degree murder.
