MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's only comprehensive cancer center will hold an event to raise awareness of one of the most aggressive kinds of cancer.
In honor of National Lung Cancer Awareness month, the UW Carbone Cancer Center's annual Shine a Light on Lung Cancer will be held Thursday night at the Holiday Inn West, 1109 Fourier Drive, Madison.
The event begins with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by presentations providing the latest news about lung cancer incidence, screening and treatment at 7 p.m. Dr. Anne Taylor, UWCCC lung cancer working group co-chair, is expected to present.
A remembrance ceremony will be held in honor or memory of someone affected by lung cancer.
