Eau Claire (WQOW) - Here's
a snapshot of the local fight against hunger and homelessness. There are 50 different agencies involved. Next
week is National Hunger and Homeless Awareness week. On Monday, community
members are invited to come learn more how local agencies address the
problem.
"Our homeless
aren't walking around on the streets with shopping carts, and begging for
money, you really don't see that very often here because we do have so much
help from these agencies that work so hard," says Kristina Malec, who works
at the Sojourner House.
The event
begins at the community table in Eau
Claire at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
