Eau Claire (WQOW) -- The UW-Eau Claire football team ended its season on the right foot, handling River Falls 28-7 at Carson Park.
The win gave the Blugolds a 4-3 conference record. Despite a slow start, coach Todd Glaser says the seniors never gave up on the season.
"We told them at the end of the game that a lot of seniors, when you're 0-3 in the season, just say that's it," adds Glaser. "These guys always came back and worked extremely hard and finished the season with a win. That' puts a lot to them."
Senior quarterback Austin Neu says it was good to finish his career with a win.
"It's the best feeling you could have," says Neu. "Obviously we would love to have our season go longer, but if it ends on a high note, that's a great feeling for all of us seniors."
