Badgers drop heartbreaker on senior day

Madison (WQOW) -- Another year, another heartbreaking loss for the Wisconsin football team at the hands of Ohio State.

Saturday's game featured a number of peaks and valleys. Senior running back Montee Ball tied the FBS record for career touchdowns in the second quarter, but was also responsible for a costly fumble in the fourth quarter. Wisconsin ultimately loss the game in overtime.

The final home game of the season was meant to be a celebration. Instead, Wisconsin walked off the field wondering what could have been.

"(It was) tough. Tough," says coach Bret Bielema. "The seniors mean the world for me, and I know Montee is hurting. I know he wanted that. He was like a man possessed there in the second quarter. It was fun to watch. But they'll take this and the good news is it'll make everybody stronger. It just kind of sucks to go through it."

Wisconsin closes out the regular season on Saturday against Penn State.
