FORT MCCOY (WXOW) - A Milwaukee man was found dead with a gunshot wound Saturday at Fort McCoy.

He is 22-year-old Thomas Stamborski. His body was found around noon Saturday.

According to the Public Affairs Office, Stamborski was deer hunting in an approved hunting area on fort property. Public Affairs identifies him as a non-Department of Defense affiliated civilian.

The death is under investigation by the Special Agents from the Army's Criminal Investigation Command.

The fort isn't releasing any additional information at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
