MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Medical College of Wisconsin is expanding into new parts of the state.
The Milwaukee-based college will open satellite campuses in the Green Bay area and Wausau.
Construction will begin next spring for the offices at Saint Norbert College in De Pere.
Other classes and training will take place at Bellin College in Bellevue.
"Simulations are scenarios that we can create that can happen in the health care setting so the students can learn in a safe environment," says Connie Boerst, President & CEO of Bellin College.
The Medical College will have facilities at various locations in the Wausau area, including UW-Marathon County and Northcentral Technical College.
MCW chose to expand in response to studies projecting a significant shortage of doctors over the next 20 years.
