Land deal between cities moving forward

Menomonie (WQOW) - Some land in Menomonie could belong to the city once again.

The City of Chippewa Falls owns 18 acres of land in Menomonie.  The city bought the land more than 30 years ago to get clay that was used in the construction of a landfill.  On Monday night, the Menomonie City Council approved a deal to buy it back for $40,000.  The city plans to use the land, which is near the Red Cedar River, for a new park.
