Taylor County (WQOW) - A former firefighter is going to prison for setting fires because he wanted the action.
Jason Schmudlach was a Rib Lake firefighter last year when fires were set to four barns and sheds in Taylor County. Investigators say Schmudlach and others set those fire on purpose. They say Schmudlach wanted to be known for putting out the fires.
He'll spend the next five years in prison. Earlier this year, another defendant was also given prison time.
