Eau Claire (WQOW) - Before you hit the toy aisles this
holiday season, you may want to take a minute to think about what's safe for
your kids.
A consumer advocacy group, released
its annual list of dangerous toys today.
Noise, size, and toxic substances are all factors. While most of the toys meet standards, the
group feels there should be stricter rules.
"I think parents
would be concerned about the fact that standards aren't quite strict enough to
get rid of all the choking hazards that may be on the market and I think most
parents would want strict standards to make sure that toys sold for their
children, aren't going to pose a choking risk," says Joe Rasmussen, WISPIRG Program
Associate.
