Barron County (WQOW) - An elderly man will spend time behind bars for sexually assaulting a child.

Charles Harris, 74, pleaded guilty to assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Barron County. According to court documents Harris assaulted the girl on two occasions earlier this year.

This week Harris was sentenced to six months in jail and five years probation. He must register as a sex offender and cannot have contact with anyone under 18-years-old without an approved chaperone.
