MADISON (WKOW) -- WTDY radio cut its news staff, including long time radio host John "Sly" Sylvester.

WTDY 1670 AM and WTDY 106.7 FM are owned by Madison based Midwest Family Broadcasting. Both stations are currently playing holiday music.

News Director Amy Barrilleaux on her Twitter page said, "WTDY is no longer news talk. That's all I know."

As of Wednesday afternoon, WTDY has not responded to news requests. The website for WTDY was replaced with a holiday greeting.
