Menomonie (WQOW) - A Menomonie man is in custody following an armed robbery.
Andrew Johnson was arrested Tuesday night without incident at his home. Police believe he robbed the Super America gas station on Stout Road around 11:30 p.m.
An employee at the gas station says a man wearing a blue ski mask and bandana to cover his face came into the store with a rifle and demanded money. The suspect left after getting an unknown amount of cash. During the investigation the employee told police they recognized Johnson as the suspect.
Police went to his home where they found the rifle, which was stolen from a Menomonie autobody shop, along with evidence linking Johnson to a burglary at the Golden Leaf Cafe.
