Rice Lake (WQOW) - A $20 million referendum could be in Rice Lake's future.
On Monday night, the Rice Lake School Board will review possible referendum questions. One option is to ask for almost $20.5 million for remodeling efforts and renovations at Tainter Elementary, the middle school and upgrades at the high school. Jefferson Elementary would be closed under that option.
A second option would break up the cost into two separate ballot questions. The school district says these are just draft questions right now. Nothing has been approved. The board will review those on Monday night.
