LIBERTY TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- Grant County Sheriff's deputies are trying to figure out what caused a crash that killed a 15-year-old girl.
The accident happened at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday night on Liberty Ridge Rd. in Liberty Township, south of the Village of Stitzer. Deputies say it appears speed could be a contributing factor in the crash.
The 15-year-old MaKayla Hore of Lancaster was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner.
The 16-year-old driver and three other passengers, all between 15 and 17 years old, were taken to Grant Regional Hospital and several of them were later moved by MedFlight.
The driver and four passengers are students at Lancaster High School. Officials say the school is already providing counseling services for its students.
