CORNUCOPIA (WKOW) -- Parts of northern Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota are buried in up to a foot of snow.
The National Weather Service says parts of Bayfield and Douglas Counties have about 12 inches of snow. It started falling late Thursday night.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says roads in the northern half of the state are covered with snow, and there are large areas that are very slippery.
The NWS says the worst of the storm is over now. It expects dry conditions over the weekend.
