MINERAL POINT (WKOW) -- The Second Annual Southwest Wisconsin Book Festival takes place on Saturday.
It's an event featuring 50 authors from Wisconsin and neighboring states. Many of the authors are from the Madison area. Eight workshops will take place during the event.
The book festival will include book signings, reading events and national keynote speakers. The morning will showcase workshops across a range of literacy topics for people of all ages. The afternoon highlights include speakers and authors chosen by the Literacy Advisory Group.
A keynote speaker will present at the Mineral Point Opera House.
Kristin Mitchell, director of the Southwest Wisconsin Book Festival, joins Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend to discuss the event.
