Car fire in Milton Township

MILTON TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- A car fire breaks out in Milton Township. Damage costs are estimated to be about $60,000.

According to the Rock County Sheriff's Department,  about 5:00 p.m. on Friday deputies responded to the vehicle fire on the 1700 block of East Road Two Street in Milton Township.

Units arrived on scene to find the car fully engulfed. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished. The fire burned a wooden fence on the property line and part of the roof and porch at the residence.

The fire appears to have accidentally started near the engine. There is not any further investigation being pursued at this time.
